Free Download Dhammapada: Buddhist classics series By Sangharakshita
2004 | 160 Pages | ISBN: 1899579354 | PDF | 1 MB
The Dhammapada is one of the most popular and influential of Buddhist scriptures. The universality of its message, the depth of its teaching, and the refined simplicity of its language have earned it an honoured place in world literature. It can be taken as a straightforward and practical summary of the essential teachings of the Buddha, but much more than that, the Dhammapada is a poetic representation of a sublime spiritual ideal. This new translation seeks to inspire and encourage the qualities of kindness, gentleness and self-control, of simplicity, contentment and serenity, commended by the Buddha himself. These qualities lead, in time, to the enjoyment of that vision of the truth that can satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart.

Free Download Developments of Harmonic Maps, Wave Maps and Yang-Mills Fields into Biharmonic Maps, Biwave Maps and Bi-Yang-Mills Fields By Yuan-Jen Chiang
2013 | 399 Pages | ISBN: 3034805330 | PDF | 4 MB
Harmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds were first established by James Eells and Joseph H. Sampson in 1964. Wave maps are harmonic maps on Minkowski spaces and have been studied since the 1990s. Yang-Mills fields, the critical points of Yang-Mills functionals of connections whose curvature tensors are harmonic, were explored by a few physicists in the 1950s, and biharmonic maps (generalizing harmonic maps) were introduced by Guoying Jiang in 1986. The book presents an overview of the important developments made in these fields since they first came up. Furthermore, it introduces biwave maps (generalizing wave maps) which were first studied by the author in 2009, and bi-Yang-Mills fields (generalizing Yang-Mills fields) first investigated by Toshiyuki Ichiyama, Jun-Ichi Inoguchi and Hajime Urakawa in 2008. Other topics discussed are exponential harmonic maps, exponential wave maps and exponential Yang-Mills fields.

Free Download Developing and Validating Rapid Assessment Instruments (Pocket Guides to Social Work Research Methods) By Neil Abell, David W. Springer, Akihito Kamata
2009 | 233 Pages | ISBN: 0195333365 | PDF | 1 MB
Despite increases in their application and improvements in their structure, there is a paucity of reliable and valid scales compared to the complex range of problems that social workers and other health professionals confront daily. They need to be able to design rapid assessment instruments (RAIs) to fit their specific situations, and with this step-by-step guide by RAI experts, that prospect will be much less intimidating. For each stage of RAI development, from conceptualization through design, data collection, and analysis, the authors identify critical concerns, ground them in the growing conceptual and empirical psychometric literature, and offer practical advice. A presentation of the basics of construct conceptualization and the search for evidence of validity is complemented by introductions to concept mapping and cross-cultural translation, as well as an in-depth discussion of cutting-edge topics like bias and invariance in item responses. In addition, they critique and illustrate factor analysis in exploratory and confirmatory strategies, offering guidance for anticipating elements of a complete data collection instrument, determining sampling frame and size, and interpreting resulting coefficients. This pocket guide provides a comprehensive start-to-finish overview of the basics of scale development, giving practical guidance that practitioners at all levels will be able to put to use.

ASP.NET Core has become the backbone of modern backend development, powering mobile apps, cloud-native platforms, microservices, and enterprise systems. Its speed, modular architecture, and first-class support for HTTP make it the #1 choice for engineers building reliable Web APIs that must scale, perform, and evolve without breaking. Today's businesses demand fast, secure, contract-driven APIs , and ASP.NET Core delivers exactly that. Developing Web APIs with ASP This book is not a catalog of theories or a lengthy list of syntax examples. It is a professional blueprint for developers who want to build ASP.NET Core APIs that can withstand real-world workloads, including traffic, change, and pressure, with guidance grounded in industry standards, modern architecture, and real-world trade-offs. Every chapter is mapped to the same practices used in production systems, technical interviews, and enterprise engineering teams. 🔥 By the end of this book, you won't just "know" ASP.NET Core you will think like a backend engineer. You will confidently build APIs that are: Cleanly structured and future-proof Secure by design, not by patching Performant and resilient under load Observable and diagnosable in production Built to evolve without breaking clients You will understand layouts, decisions, and patterns , not just code so you can apply them to ANY real project with clarity and skill. What's Inside ⚙ A Complete Backend Development Playbook , including: ✨ Framework decisions that scale Minimal APIs vs Controllers, when and why each matters ✨ Routing & semantic design predictable URLs, versioning without breaking clients ✨ Real dependency injection mastery : lifetimes, boundaries, anti-patterns, modularity ✨ Middleware pipeline clarity : the request lifecycle explained as you've never seen ✨ Validation & contracts DTOs, serialization choices, error consistency ✨ Performance tuning that matters : async, throughput, Kestrel configuration ✨ Caching for real systems invalidation pain removed, caching done right ✨ Security done: JWT, OAuth, authorization policies, abuse prevention ✨ Observability that prevents outages , logging, tracing, metrics that matter ✨ Deployment with confidence , resilience planning, rollback playbooks, cloud readiness All delivered with zero fluff , designed to upgrade how you architect from the ground up. This book is for developers who are ready to LEVEL UP: Backend & full-stack developers building production APIs Engineers preparing for architecture & senior-level roles Developers tired of cargo-cult coding and conflicting tutorials Teams modernizing old .NET Framework / MVC systems Anyone who wants to write APIs that don't collapse under growth If you've ever thought: "My API works... but I don't know if it's built correctly," this book was written for you. This book accelerates mastery. ➡ Learn in weeks, not months ➡ Step-by-step guidance without detours ➡ Mental models that eliminate confusion ➡ Confidence that compounds as you build Every chapter is built for rapid application , with clarity that lets you implement what you learn immediately in real codebases. Developing Web APIs with ASP If you are serious about building Web APIs that perform, scale, and endure , this book will change how you design backend systems forever. Don't wait to "figure it out later"; become the engineer who designs APIs with authority and confidence. 👉 Scroll up and get your copy now. Your next-level backend engineering journey starts today.
