MusicIntroduction: A fundamental artist in the development of Detroit Techno, Eddie Fowlkes stands alongside other legends like Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson. From his first release on Juan Atkinss Metroplex Records he has continued to create pioneering tracks over the past three decades. The Australian duo call on Rocco Rodamaal and Larse for cosmic reproductions on this dazzling Defected debut release. Lyon producer Rocco takes a housey route, laying down a rumbling low-end and ramping up the energy with dizzying pads. The original mix of Clap Yo Handz is led by E-Mans hypnotising vocals, with a rumbling bassline. Having spent a significant time in Angola visiting some of the local musicians and absorbing the local 'kuduro' style of music production, DJ Gregory has returned home, not to his native France but to Amsterdam.
