MSC CoSim is a co-simulation platform designed to coordinate multiple engineering solvers within a multidisciplinary simulation environment. It enables different analysis systems to exchange information during coupled simulations, allowing engineers to study interactions between mechanical, structural, fluid, and other physical domains.
MSC CoSim supports interaction between Adams for multibody dynamics (MBD), Marc for finite element analysis (FEA), and scFLOW for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). This approach allows coupled simulations to represent physical interactions that cannot be fully evaluated through a single analysis method.
The platform can be applied to multidisciplinary engineering studies involving aerodynamics, fluid-structure interaction, vehicle dynamics, cavitation, sloshing, aeroacoustics, shock waves, and thermomechanical behavior.
