USB Secure is a portable-media security utility designed to protect USB drives and other removable storage devices with password-based access control. It operates independently of the host PC, does not require installation on the computer being used, and does not require administrator privileges for protecting supported portable media.
USB Secure supports a range of removable storage devices, including USB flash drives, thumb drives, memory sticks, pen drives, jump drives, external hard drives, and memory cards. Its plug-and-play operation allows protected media to prompt for a password when connected to a compatible Windows computer.
USB storage devices provide a convenient way to transfer large amounts of data, but their small size also makes them easy to lose, misplace, or steal. USB Secure provides a straightforward method of restricting access to the information stored on removable media.
