This moral-aesthetics takes three forms. The first is social and historical realism, as in Lukács and Goldmann. This is an aesthetics which fundamentally places the work of art within reality, particularly social and historical reality. The second aesthetics is utopian negation theory, and the third is formalism. The book pays special attention to Lukács' concept of realistic historical novels, which he develops through the analysis of historical novels by Walter Scott, Honore de Balzac and Heinrich Mann. This theory of aesthetic realism is, as the book argues, grounded in Lukács' reading of Hegel. The book concludes by offering fresh interpretations of the moral basis of Goldmann's romantic realism in The Hidden God, and Marcuse's emphasis on art as form and utopian negation of reality in The Aesthetic Dimension. ![]() Free Download Marvel Studios Character Encyclopedia Updated Edition by Kelly Knox English | April 23, 2024 | ISBN: 0744092639 | 240 pages | PDF | 112 Mb Who's your favorite character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe? With the aim to make the reader comprehend what is plausible and what is at stake, the book tries to clarify misconceptions and half-truths spreading rapidly in the public. The authors argue that approximations and misinformation should be countered for two main reasons. First, to avoid missing out on the benefits that Mars exploration may bring, including major scientific discoveries and an inspiring, federative human endeavor. Second, to remediate dangerous delusions - such as the idea that humanity could be transferred there should the Earth become inhabitable in the near term. In preparation for this book a group of European, world-renowned scientists from fields as diverse as astronomy, planetology, geology, biology, philosophy, or economics, as well as astronauts and science-fiction writers, was gathered to discuss Mars missions ranging from near-term robotic missions, all the way to large-scale settlements and even the feasibility of terraforming. For each, they draw arguments from their domains of expertise to discuss what is feasible and what is desirable. The result provides researchers with an objective review of the field, policy makers with a reference to make informed decisions, and the general public with a tool to form educated opinions. ![]() Free Download Mars: A Beginner's Guide to Exploring the Red Planet by Brendan Owens English | January 14, 2025 | ISBN: 0008604320 | 112 pages | MOBI | 21 Mb The perfect gift for anyone eager to learn more about the Red Planet ![]() Free Download Tanja Skambraks, "Markets and their Actors in the Late Middle Ages" English | ISBN: 3110642212 | 2020 | 156 pages | PDF | 3 MB Markets feature prominently in recent research of premodern historians as well as economists.
