If you are training as a technician, just starting a motorsport degree, or have finished reading Basic Motorsport Engineering, this is the book for you. It covers the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and the Excellence, Achievement, and Learning (EAL) qualifications content at Level 3 so it will give you the knowledge needed to underpin your practical work. It is written by a practising lecturer and motorsport engineer who has trained race engineers who are working for the major motorsport teams, including McLaren and Ferrari, and their supply chains. There are hundreds of different types of jobs in motorsport, this book will help you understand both the technology and the terminology so that you can progress your career quickly, using IMI or EAL Level 3 qualifications. This book is a follow on to Basic Motorsport Engineering, also written by Andrew Livesey.
