The Coming of Derek

Thirty-two year old council worker Derek Stone leads a solitary life in his tiny flat, above a chip shop, in the coastal town of Crackerley. With nothing but his library books and the sad man's handshake to keep him amused, there seems to be very little hope for Derek. So when the local librarian befriends him and his infatuation for the busty chip shop owner seems to be returned, Derek's life begins to change dramatically. Will awkward Derek finally lose his virginity and live the life that his mother has always dreamt of for him? Or will he be left unwanted and alone?
