This book has excellent treatment of antennas, modulation, coding and link budgets. If you need to learn how you should size a terminal for a given type of service than this is where you will find the answer or at least how to get the calculations correct. I find this book on more satellite system engineers shelves all over the world than any other I know of on this subject. Its a great 'look up' text for those technical answers you should know but....
