Max Rising is an unscrupulous businessman separated from his futuristic bubble of luxury and hubris, and thrown into the realities of poverty and subservience to the wealthy. In his efforts to restore himself to riches and power, he begins to discover just how little he really knows of himself and the world all around him.

Set in the late 21st century, Max Rising explores the clashes of social classes amid indefinite life extension, artificial intelligence, hermetic cities, welfare for all, avaricious capitalism, and mental health. Cynical, sarcastic, thought-provoking and darkly funny, it illustrates the dangers and delights that may await us all in the near future.
