Children will squeal with joy when they receive these colorful wood toys-but don't be surprised if adults can't resist playing with them too! And because the scrollsaw is such an accurate, user-friendly tool, any enthusiastic woodworker can take on these projects with confidence. Guided by templates-an introduction to tools, techniques, and materials; cutting lists; a wealth of tips; big color photos-construct one (or all) of the 11 playthings. There's something to please every child, including a nursery-rhyme mobile for babies, a tow-along ladybird that toddlers can pull, a mountain passenger lift, a come-apart car to enthrall young mechanics, and a Mars Pathfinder game for older kids. Each toy is superbly finished, many with an ingenious paint stamp technique so simple and effective, you'll want to use it on walls, cards...everywhere!
