The first computer networks werecreated in the 1960s when hugemilitary and university computerswere joined together to sharetechnical information. No one at thetime knew where this would lead.Even just 20 years ago, no one usedcomputer networks except at work, butnow they're everywhere. Computernetworks allow people to look atwebsites on smartphones or tablets,send and receive emails, do theirbanking, shop and work from home, aswell as stream videos and music fromanywhere in the world onto a digitaldevice such as a smart TV.
