The Collaborative Design of Gutturu Mannu's Logo, Natural Park of Sardinia

This volume tells the story of a project of creativity and community participation in the heart of southwestern Sardinia. The logo of the Gutturu Mannu Regional Nature Park emerges as a collective expression of the local vision of the area's nature, born from the collaboration between 17 schools spread across 10 municipalities and crafted by professionals who are also authors of this book.
Through over 400 drawings sent by young students from these schools, the book provides an intimate look into their conception of the park, enriching the emotional and cultural fabric of the symbol that represents it.
The Gutturu Mannu Regional Nature Park in Sardinia encompasses a territory characterized by primary forests, ancestral landscapes, and an extraordinary variety of flora and fauna. With an area of tens of thousands of hectares, the park provides a refuge for numerous animal species, including the Sardinian deer, the goshawk, and the wildcat. Its creation was the result of a collective effort aimed at protecting and enhancing this natural wealth, actively involving local communities in the decision-making process, as exemplified in the design of the logo.
