Your Painful and Unstable Knee

In active society there are many sports injuries, activities, and other conditions that affect all of our bodies and especially our joints. As an orthopedic surgeon I have seen thousands of patients of all ages. Most people have no understanding of their injuries or the cause of the pain they are suffering.
My purpose in writing this book is from the perspective of an Orthopedic Surgeon practicing 43 years to inform athletes and others of the damage that has been done both anatomically and physiologically to their bodies.
Functions have been lost.
My goal is to show you how we correct these things using the most conservative methods first and then progressing to surgery if necessary. It can't be emphasized enough that physical therapy is extremely important from the beginning of treatment to the end.
In this my second book of the series of body areas to be covered; it is focused on the knee joint cartilages and surrounding muscles, ligaments, and tendons. The anatomy of the bones, muscles, ligaments, plus neurovascular structures will be illustrated and discussed in detail. Then step- by- step we will take various diagnoses, explain them in detail and cover the choices of treatment including outcomes, risks, and potential complications.
