The beginnings of DJ Promotion take place in the mid-90s. These were the days when the CD celebrated its triumph in the music market. The first series of promo albums for DJs, already called CD Pool (as it is now), was released on a monthly basis. There was no genre of music. There were 130 editions. After that, the formula of their release was changed, dividing them into a series by genres: House, Techno, Black, Pop. After some time, another series appeared under the name CD Pool Polska. To this day, the albums are formatted similarly, with the evolution of music necessitating the renaming of two series: > Techno was replaced by the name > Big Room, and > Pop was replaced by the name > Pop/Dance.
