It emphasizes the importance of therapists involving parents in their child's interventions and details ways in which therapists can train parents to practice the same cognitive, emotional, and behavioral skills their child needs to develop and improve. In addition, the book describes how primary care providers can empower parents to become collaborative partners, giving them tools and strategies to move forward with their concerns and weigh different options in seeking help. Chapters focus on critical therapeutic moments that encourage children to discover who they are, develop their own willpower as well as connect past, present and future events to become more socially connected. ![]() Free Download Cold War Liberalism: Power in a Time of Emergency English | 2026 | ISBN: 1009448684 | 305 Pages | PDF | 3.3 MB In the mid-twentieth century, Cold War liberalism exerted a profound influence on the US state, US foreign policy, and liberal thought across the North Atlantic world. The essays in this volume examine the history of this important ideology from a variety of perspectives. Whereas most prior works that analyze Cold War liberalism have focused on small groupings of canonical intellectuals, this book explores how the ideology transformed politics, society, and culture writ large. From impacting US foreign policy in the Middle East, to influencing the ideological contours of industrial society, to reshaping the urban landscape of Los Angeles, Cold War liberalism left an indelible mark on modern history. This collection also illuminates the degree to which Cold War liberalism continues to shape how intellectuals and policymakers understand and approach the world. ![]() Free Download Cold War Comrades: An Emotional History of the Sino-North Korean Alliance English | 2026 | ISBN: 1009633317 | 277 Pages | PDF | 3 MB In this major new interpretation of Sino-North Korean relations, Gregg A. Brazinsky argues that neither the PRC nor the DPRK would have survived as socialist states without the ideal of Sino-North Korean friendship. Chinese and North Korean leaders encouraged mutual empathy and sentimental attachments between their citizens and then used these emotions to strengthen popular commitment to socialist state building. Drawing on an array of previously unexamined Chinese and North Korean sources, Brazinsky shows how mutual empathy helped to shape political, military, and cultural interactions between the two socialist allies. He explains why the unique relationship that Beijing and Pyongyang forged during the Korean War remained important throughout the Cold War and how it continues to influence the international relations of East Asia today. ![]() Free Download Cold Case Homicides by Rachel H. The sheaves are associated to Γ-modules over the ring of integers or finite extension rings thereof. There is an action of a Hecke algebra on these cohomology groups. Accordingly, they decompose into indecomposable pieces which are of great interest in number theory and algebraic geometry. Upon extending the coefficient systems to complex vector spaces, an individual indecomposable component corresponds to a space of automorphic forms, thereby, giving rise to an attached L-function. For example, the Ramanujan Delta function provides the first case of such a correspondence. Up to division by a carefully chosen period, these L-functions take rational (algebraic) values at certain critical arguments. In various examples, it is discussed how the numerator and denominator ideals of these normalised values shed some light on the integral structure of the cohomology groups as a module under the Hecke algebra. In particular, results concern the denominator of cohomology classes which are represented by Eisenstein series, analytically constructed beforehand. In very special cases, values of the Riemann zeta-function play a decisive role. Within the discussion of these number-theoretic aspects of the cohomology groups, questions of a computational nature unfold. These may lead, by means of experiments, to a better understanding of the general integral structure of these groups. This introduction to the cohomology of arithmetic groups and the associated theory of automorphic forms and special values of L-functions focuses on number theoretic aspects and questions. It is intended for graduate students and researchers in the field of arithmetic as well as in automorphic forms and differential geometry. ![]() Free Download Cohesive Societies, Resilient Futures English | 2026 | ISBN: 9819824133 | 511 Pages | PDF (True) | 10 MB This book presents key speeches and insights from the 3rd International Conference on Cohesive Societies (ICCS), held in Singapore on 24-26 June 2025. It highlights the importance of building social cohesion in multicultural societies through dialogue, engagement, and mutual understanding.Opening with a Foreword by Ambassador Ong Keng Yong (Executive Deputy Chairman of RSIS, NTU), the volume features keynote addresses by His Excellency Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, and His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Sultan of Perak and Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Alongside contributions from distinguished conference speakers, the book offers thought-provoking commentaries and transcripts that capture the spirit of the International Conference on Cohesive Societies (ICCS). Structured around the three themes of Unpacking Multiculturalism, Navigating Uncertainty, and Forging Societal Resilience, each section begins with editorial commentary to guide readers through the key ideas. The book also includes photographs and visual recordings from the conference, providing readers ― both scholars and the wider public ― with a unique opportunity to engage with leading perspectives on fostering harmony and resilience across communities, faiths, and cultures. ![]() Free Download Cognitive Science: A Primer English | 2025 | ISBN: 1800617801 | 257 Pages | PDF (True) | 15 MB This primer provides a foundation in the main principles of cognitive science, offering a holistic account of what science reveals about the material basis of both animal and human consciousness. The book discusses in detail how neurons and glial cells (the two main types of cells in the brain) work together to generate cognitive function, while also drawing on insights from neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy of mind to explore the unique aspects of human consciousness. Ultimately, while we need to explain our conscious minds at the molecular and cellular level in terms of neuronal and glial cell function, we also need to be aware that human consciousness has undergone a qualitative shift that distinguishes it from the consciousness of other species. ![]() Free Download Cognitive Neuroscience: The Biology of the Mind English | 2025 | ISBN: 1324088990 | 2064 Pages | PDF | 138 MB Cognitive Neuroscience is universally recognized as the gold-standard text for undergraduate students.
