ETABS 19.0.2 Release notes - Date: 23 Dec 2020
Below lists changes made to ETABS since 19.0.1, released 15-December-2020. Items marked with an asterisk (*) in the first column are more significant.
Documentation
Enhancements Implemented
5646 The "ETABS User's Guide" manual has been updated to reflect the latest features and graphical user interface
5797 The version number has been changed to 19.0.2 for a new minor release. This version is compatible with v19.0.1, so that analysis and design results run in one version can be accessed in the other version.
Application Programming Interface (API)
Incidents Resolved
5481 An incident was resolved for the Application Programming Interface (API) where the functioncPointObj.GetConnectivity was not working correctly. The error affected ETABS version 19.0.0 and 19.0.1.
5804 An incident was resolved for the Application Programming Interface (API) which affected the function cDesignCompositeBeam.StartDesign. The function did not start composite beam design, even when called in models in which it should. This affected ETABS v19.0.1 only.
Data Files
Incidents Resolved
5801* An incident was resolved where an abnormal termination error could occur when closing ETABS on some machines. This was caused by one or more of the files in the user settings folder being set to read-only access. This could occur due to explicit action by the user, or in some cases by Windows update. This error did not affect model files or any results. This issue was partially corrected with ETABS v19.0.1, but further corrections were required. Note that maintaining read-only access will prevent these files from being updated as expected, but will no longer trigger the error message.
ETABS is an engineering software product that caters to multi-story building analysis and design. Modeling tools and templates, code-based load prescriptions, analysis methods and solution techniques, all coordinate with the grid-like geometry unique to this class of structure. Basic or advanced systems under static or dynamic conditions may be evaluated using ETABS. For a sophisticated assessment of seismic performance, modal and direct-integration time-history analyses may couple with P-Delta and Large Displacement effects. Nonlinear links and concentrated PMM or fiber hinges may capture material nonlinearity under monotonic or hysteretic behavior. Intuitive and integrated features make applications of any complexity practical to implement. Interoperability with a series of design and documentation platforms makes ETABS a coordinated and productive tool for designs which range from simple 2D frames to elaborate modern high-rises.
