SpaceClaim is a software company for creating and editing solid 3D models. The company is led by Michael Payne, a former co-founder of PTC and one of the founders of SolidWorks, who later served as an executive director at Spatial Corp. and chief technologist at Dassault Systemes.
SpaceClaim is a program for creating and editing solid 3D models, primarily aimed at engineers who need to contribute to product development, but who do not currently use any of the "primary" MCAD systems. The program can work with most 3D MCAD formats, as well as store data in its own, completely open format based on XML technology.
The SpaceClaim system can complement the NX functionality and improve the user experience. In addition, SpaceClaim improves the efficiency of the company as a whole, extending all the benefits of 3D to all participants in the process. Thus, the product design process is optimized, information exchange is improved, which leads to a decrease in the number of iterations during the design process and a faster time to market.
SpaceClaim provides engineers with a new level of flexibility in the design process.
Improvements made to SpaceClaim include enhanced sheet metal capabilities, as well as the following options:
- Mechanism placement conditions support contact, ball joints, gears.
- direct three-dimensional drawing of points, lines, grooves.
- advanced options for working with sheet metal, such as: a new library and new forms, flat templates that can be bent into three-dimensional objects, easy configurations, engraving.
- selection of components by size for quick cleaning of the assembly from unnecessary components. Detailed options such as custom symbols, symbol library, grid coordinate system for automotive and aerospace applications.
- advanced options for customizing your own tools and interactive objects.
System requirements : Microsoft® Windows 7/8/10
Video card: minimum resolution 1024x768.
Processor: Pentium® 4 2.0 GHZ or Athlon® 2000+ and higher 1Gb RAM
