What's New: Creo Parametric 11.0.4.0
Data Exchange > STEP AP242 Edition 3 Export Support
User Interface Location: Click File > Save As > Options... > Application protocol
Creo Parametric now supports export to STEP AP242 Edition 3.
- This new export file format adheres to ISO standards for STEP AP242 Edition 3.
- Edition 3 expands on the capabilities of prior editions with an emphasis on Product Manufacturing Information (PMI).

Benefits:
- Improves collaboration with downstream applications and third-party systems.
- Provides more robust and comprehensive support for Model Based Definition.
- Improves support for note annotations to capture relevant semantic product manufacturing information (PMI).
- Improves annotation definition by supporting additional references for note annotations and including them in the STEP AP242 file.
Detailed Drawings > Enhancements to Configuration Option allow_default_templates
The configuration option allow_default_templates has been updated for the following changes:
- A new value, drawing_checked, has been added. When this value is used, the Use default template checkbox is enabled and selected by default for all newly created drawings.
- The existing value drawing has been renamed to drawing_unchecked. As before, when this value is used the checkbox Use default template is enabled only for newly created drawings and is not selected by default.
The behavior for the remaining values of this option, remains unchanged.

CAD Administrators gain greater flexibility in managing the use of default templates for newly created objects by their users.
