Software Overview

PDF Processing and Automation

Profiles can contain individual filters based on document text, PDF metadata, file information, attachment details, titles, and dates. This allows different types of documents to be routed through separate processing workflows.

Text Extraction and Dynamic Naming

Automatic PDF Processor can extract information directly from PDF document text. An unlimited number of extraction rules can be created within a profile, and extracted values can optionally be validated or formatted before being used.
The resulting information can be incorporated into PDF filenames or folder paths, making it possible to organize documents according to details such as invoice information. Extracted values can also be stored in CSV files for further processing or reporting.

PDF Attachments and Archiving

Embedded attachments can be extracted from PDF files and saved to selected folders. This is useful for PDF invoices containing ZUGFeRD XML files, XRechnung attachments, or other embedded documents that need to be archived separately.

Scheduled Processing and Notifications

Automatic processing can be restricted to selected days and time periods. For example, printing tasks can be limited to office hours while other processing rules continue according to their configured schedules.
Email notifications provide information about different processing statuses, helping users monitor automated workflows without continuously checking the application.

Integration and Reporting

The software can trigger subsequent actions after processing a document, including starting another program and passing the path of the saved PDF or extracted attachment as a parameter.
Existing PDF files can also be processed according to user-defined criteria. Regular Excel reports can provide both summary information and detailed data about processed documents.
