Order food, ask prices, and find your way in Korea — 8 short lessons with printable worksheets. No Hangul required.

What you'll learn

⚡ Use both Korean number systems — native and Sino — with the right counters for prices, times, dates, ages, and quantities.
⚡ Introduce yourself in polite Korean and ask someone their name, country, and job — then answer the same questions back.
⚡ Point at anything and ask what it is, what color it is, and how much it costs, then buy it: 이거 뭐예요? / 얼마예요? / 이거 주세요.
⚡ Handle a cafe, a restaurant, and the street: ask where a place is, ask if they have wifi or a seat, order food, and ask for the check.

Requirements

❗ No prior Korean is required — this course starts from zero and every word is written in both Hangul and romanization. Being able to read Hangul helps, but isn't required. If you can't read it yet, take Course 1 (Read Hangul) first, or just follow the romanization here. A printer or a tablet for the 8 downloadable worksheets, and a place where you can say the phrases out loud — this course is built around speaking, not just watching.

Description

Eight lessons. Forty phrases. Everything you actually say on a trip to Korea.
Most Korean courses start with grammar charts. This one starts with the counter you need to order two coffees, the number you need to hear a price, and the question you need to find a restroom. By the end of Lesson 8 you will be able to walk into a Korean cafe, ask what something is, ask how much it costs, ask if they have wifi, order it, and ask for the check — all in Korean.
What you'll cover
Lesson 1 — Numbers: Korea's two counting systems, and when to use each
Lesson 2 — Time & Dates: telling the time, days of the week, months
Lesson 3 — Introduce Yourself: name, country, job, and a polite greeting
Lesson 4 — This & That: pointing at things, asking what they are, naming colors
Lesson 5 — Shopping: asking prices, saying amounts in won, asking for a discount
Lesson 6 — Where Is It?: asking where a place is and understanding the directions
Lesson 7 — Have & Not Have: asking if a place has wifi, a seat, ice, or a receipt
Lesson 8 — Ordering Food: reading a menu, ordering by the plate and the cup, paying
What's included
Every lesson comes with a printable worksheet: a warm-up from the previous lesson, the new vocabulary, five key phrases, fill-in-the-blank and matching practice, a "say it in Korean" section, and a speaking task you do out loud. Every worksheet has a full answer key, so you can check yourself without a teacher.
All Korean is written in both Hangul and romanization, so you can start today even if you can't read Hangul yet. Over the eight lessons you'll build 100+ words and 40 phrases — chosen because travelers use them, not because they're easy to grammar-test.
Who it's for
Absolute beginners planning a trip to Korea, and anyone who wants to say something back the next time they hear 얼마예요? This course teaches present-tense 요-form phrases only. It does not cover past tense, conjugation, or reading long texts.

Who this course is for

⭐ Travelers planning a trip to Korea who want to handle cafes, markets, taxis, and restaurants in Korean instead of pointing at pictures. Absolute beginners who have never studied Korean and want survival phrases they can actually use, not grammar terminology. K-drama, K-pop, and K-food fans who keep hearing 얼마예요 and 맛있어요 and want to know what to say back. Anyone who finished a Hangul course and wants a short, practical next step — 8 lessons, each with a worksheet and a speaking task.
