Requirements

Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Most 5G courses hand you the specification. A wall of acronyms, a table of parameters, a formula with subscripts on the subscripts , all of it true, none of it explaining why any of it exists. You write it down, and a few weeks later a question one step to the side leaves you stuck. Not because you forgot, but because you never understood it in the first place.
This course does it the other way round.
Every mechanism here arrives as the answer to a problem you have already watched break. You will not be told that 5G uses OFDM, you will watch a single fast stream destroy itself on a real radio channel, and then see the fix almost derive itself. By the time a term is named, you can usually see why something like it had to exist.
We build the whole stack from the bottom: the physical layer, MIMO and beamforming, then MAC, RLC, PDCP and SDAP, each solving a problem the layer below leaves behind. Then the control plane, RRC and NAS, that configures all of it before your first byte moves. And finally we put every piece together in a complete initial attach, traced value by value, from the moment you switch the device on to a packet crossing the air.
It is not exhaustive, and it does not pretend to be. 5G is tens of thousands of pages. What you get instead is the structure: which layer owns what, and why. That is what turns you into someone who can learn the rest alone, who asks better questions, and knows which answers are worth trusting.
