Welcome to theMagical Cat Café, where the cats are picky, the menus are mysterious, and every day brings a brand-new challenge!
In this imaginative, story-based course, learners will aim to enter a very unusual café and take on the role of a creative problem-solver. Each section begins with a fun story that introduces a new challenge for the café's feline staff. Learners will then use their imagination, creativity and flexible thinking to complete a range of hands-on activities and help the café become the most magical place in town.
Along the way, learners will exploreart, storytelling, design, creative thinking, problem-solving and imaginative play. Challenges include sorting and designing café menus, inventing unusual foods and drinks, creating cat-friendly uniforms, solving café problems and designing magical ideas for the customers and staff.
This is aself-paced course, so learners can work through the activities whenever it suits them. Each section includes a short pre-recorded video in which I introduce the story and set the scene using colourful slides, storytelling and clear instructions. Learners then complete the creative challenge using the provided activity sheet or simply their own paper and art materials.
There are alsoextra challenges throughout the course for learners who want to take their ideas even further. These are completely optional and provide extra opportunities for drawing, designing, writing and creative thinking.
The course is designed to be open-ended and encouraging. There are no tests, grades or right-or-wrong answers. Instead, learners are encouraged to make their own choices, experiment with ideas and put their own creative spin on each challenge.
Although this is a self-paced course with no live classes, learners are still welcome tomessage me throughout the course. They can ask questions, share their thoughts about the challenges or even send photos or videos of their creations. I love seeing the different ideas learners come up with and will be delighted to respond!
