You'll need:
- A fine pointed lead pencil or mechanical pencil using a hard weight such as 2H lead
- An eraser
- Your choice in watercolour paint
- Selection of brushes for watercolour
- 300gsm acid free watercolour paper with a smooth finish
- Gum paper tape (for stretching watercolour paper)
Other mediums such as colour pencil, acrylic paint and digital painting may be used to create the portrait easily by following the core principles guiding the artwork with your preferred medium.
