If you are getting started on AWS serverless web development, this course will give you a good introduction to building REST APIs with AWS serverless services. You'll get hands-on experience with serverless services like AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon DynamoDB, and Identity and Access Management(IAM). In this course, you'll learn to build a REST API that handles CRUD operations for a note-taking application from scratch. You'll also learn how to use the serverless framework to provision and deploy Lambda functions, API Gateway, and DynamoDB. The principle of least privilege is an important principle to follow when building serverless applications. You will also learn how to use the principle of least privilege to provide minimum permission to the Lambda functions that talk to the DynamoDB table.
Not only that, but you also learn how to add authorization to the REST API with Amazon API Gateway access control methods. You will learn how to create multiple isolated environments of the API to facilitate development, testing, demo, and production.
