This course is designed for anyone who work within an education role that has involvement with the development, delivery and assessment of curriculum. The course will guide you through:• The use and purpose of cognitive verbs.• Frameworks associated with cognitive verbs.• Understanding the intention of cognitive verbs in the curriculum.• How to identify the required cognition skills in the curriculum.• The curricula intent of the cognitive verbs in the curriculum.• A range of teaching strategies and techniques to teach students how to use cognitive processes, associated with cognitive verbs.• How to effectively develop assessment, instructions and questioning which aligns to curriculum intention and required cognitive verbs.This course consists seven video lectures, as well as additional reading and resources to support you in teaching and assessing cognitive verbs in your classroom.There will be opportunities for you to check your understanding of the concepts learned in the course, through quizzes at the end of each section. At the end of the course, there is an assignment, where you get to design your own question, which apply the skills and knowledge you learned in the course. This also gives you the opportunity to engage in a community of practice, by providing feedback on other participants answers and getting feedback on your own.
