But according to my experience, one should know beforehand for which post person is getting hired and what will be his roles in the organization. If one starts his career with a project, role, or tool which will create value in the future too then it is easy to survive as your skills are in demand. But everything fades here in the software industry very quickly so a person should always be updated with trends in the software industry and keep learning.
