Description
The course will focus on the interpretation of seismic lines acquired at sea; the course addressed to students and professionals of the geological and geophysical sector. It will be shown how to import similar seismic lines into Petrel / software, proceed with their processing, inversion systems, extract and calculate horizontal planes and surfaces corresponding to the different geophysical / geological layers. Proceed to the interpretation of the geometric elements evident from the seismic sections, faults, layers, delimitation of a sedimentary basin; once the geometric elements have been defined by the seismic sections, they will be interpolated for the three-dimensional reconstruction of fault planes and / or geophysical layers.Once the geometric interpretation of the seismic sections and their consequent interpolation have been completed, the first geophysical model will be built with the different geophysical layers - the main characters will be attributed to each geophysical layer (parameters extracted from the acquisitions) - the geophysical modeling must be preparatory and to support the geological one - Well data will be inserted to compare and check the thicknesses of the geophysical layers with the geological ones - Once the 3D layout has been correctly reconstructed with interpolation of the seismic planes and the correction of the thicknesses, the model can be calibratedIt will be shown how to extract sections in different directions, the analysis of a sedimentary basin will be proposed, without temporal reconstruction of the evolution (retrodeformation).
