Part 2 will help you to understand how to create inventory sheet for you environment and server , also this will help you to create app inventory. Part 3 explain about the compatibility check for Splunk to App, Splunk to Splunk.The last part will explain about the premium app upgrade discovery process. This video will also give you brief about the upgrade path and the order overview. Once you complete this course, you will have a list Splunk inventory, You will get to know the environment, what all apps are present in your environment and the compatibility between Splunk apps and other components of Splunk. The common mistake we do while upgrading the Splunk is not doing the discovery and not understanding the environment, this will lead to a disaster if we do not do initial discovery of E2E Splunk environment. if we miss this face we can fail in doing proper upgrade and the upgrade may get failed due to certain reasons. We can save customer and over time by doing proper inventory for Splunk Environment.
