Urban bobility, transport planning and management is a six-part course that guides learners through the process of developing a public or private transport network and the different factors that need to be considered when planning transport systems. The first lecture seeks to introduce learners to urban mobility and public transport discussing what they are and how they affect us on a daily basis. This introduction is expanded on throughout the course, as new concepts are introduced and the course dives into the specifics of each point. The second part of the course focuses the social dynamics of urban mobility and transport planning and how transport system development and planning can create a spatial mismatch between difference socio-economic groups. This is further discussed in the third part of the course as it seeks to discuss the challenges facing urban mobility and transport planning and how they affect different socio-economic groups in a different way. The concept is later finalised and concluded in part four where participatory frameworks are discussed and the various was to navigate them to ensure inclusivity and sustainability of a urban mobility network.Part five and six serve as the concluding lectures in the series.
