You have done your Pilates course (YEAY) and now you need a return on investment by teaching clients.Know how to do the exercises - CHECKKnow how to teach the exercises - CHECKKnow how to assess a client - YOU SAY WHAT????A Pilates orientation is a must for all new clients! In this session you introduce the principles of Pilates, let them feel where their core muscles are (well, the main core muscles as you are going to learn about 4 other cores in this course), how to breathe and then you get them moving so you can observe their movements and take notes on what you see.Real learning only starts after your instructor course because it takes years to train your eye to know what you see and how to correct your client. Even experienced instructors (me included) have a moment where you look at a client, you see something is not quite right but you just can't seem to put your finger on it, therefor you will not know how to correct your client.Your client's first session can be a make or break deal! = They need feel heard - that you understand their needs.= They need to feel safe and that Pilates will not be difficult in the beginning until the confidence start to show.= They need to know that you know what you are doing and know what you are talking about so that you are worth their investment.= And of course nerves! The client can smell that a mile away. Giving you away that you are a newly qualified instructor.IT WILL BE MY HONOUR to be your first client! (unpaid of course :) Together we are going to assess my body to see what I'm doing wrong and which muscles should be trained in order to fix the movement.This course will help you train your eye so we are SLOWLY going to work through 9 mat exercises you already know and this time, you will learn to look deeper. Not only how to correct the client in different situations but also what caused the body to do that in the first place! After this course you will be able to give knowledgeable and impressive feedback of what you observed during their orientation session.
