This course is for Revit users who wants to learn how to design lightning protection system in Revit according to IEC/EN/BS/DIN 62305-1/3 standard.You will learn how to create Revit families for: air termination conductor with its protective volume according to different LPL (lightning protection level ).You will learn the fundamentals of the standard EN 62305 -1/3, mechanism of lightning discharge and understand the concept of lightning design using Protection Angle Method and/or Rolling sphere method to make the simulation in Revit using intelligent families.Training materials: Revit families and project.This course is life time access, you can come back and watch the course any time you want.According to IEC 62305 the probability of structure penetration by a lightning current is considerably decreased by the presence of a properly designed air-termination system/(s).Air-termination system can be composed of any combination of the following elements:- rods (including free-standing masts);- catenary wires;- meshed conductors.In this course the following items will be explained in order to design the air termination conductor.Phenomenology of lightning.
