This course consists of a roughly 30 skills tests based upon a very realistic retail sales semantic model (Contoso DW). DAX problems / challenges, Power BI and Power Query skills tests are presented and you are asked to answer them to test your knowledge and experience. Each will have a comprehensive answer provided. In addition to this, you will be asked to perform some data analysis using Power BI which will test your knowledge of which visuals to use to solve a particular problem, and how to use them. You will also be asked to trouble shoot some common problems any Power BI developer is likely to encounter in their work using Power BI.The course completes with a capstone project where you design a data model and create an executive business report on sample sales data. This can be used to show off your modeling and UI design skills or test the skills of that hiring candidate. If the work you do on the project is good enough, it will be showcased in this course and potentially on LinkedIn.
