Description
Semiconductor Basics: Core Principles and Applications is designed to provide a solid foundation in the fundamental concepts, physical principles, and practical applications of semiconductor devices. This course introduces learners to the essential role semiconductors play in modern electronics and explores the behavior of charge carriers in intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductor materials.Beginning with the atomic structure and energy band theory, the course covers the formation and operation of PN junctions, which form the basis of most semiconductor devices. Students will study the characteristics, types, and practical uses of diodes, including Zener diodes, as well as the working principles of bipolar junction transistors (BJTs), field-effect transistors (FETs) and Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET).
