Description
In the Paper Engineering online course, you will explore paper folding, geometry and structures over 3-4 hours of video lectures.
A great way to develop your spatial skills as well as math and lateral thinking, all while making art and sculptures. The workshop will teach you the basic concepts that go into making pop up structures and paper models. By the end of the course, you will be able to make your own pop up books and animations.
Suggested Age Group - 10+
Please note - The course is intended for purchase by adults. Learners below the age of 18, please ensure that a parent or guardian helps you log in to access the class.
The course is broken down into 4 modules -
1) Paper Cutting and Kirigami
2) Pop Up Mechanisms
3) Pop Up Rooms
4) Paper Animations
And of course, we also have a bonus project at the end that explore how to make a traditional dancing doll as seen in the southern states of India. Each of these modules have hand in hand projects and references!
