Existieren Parallelen zum Prozeß der Währungsintegration, inwieweit kann daher auf die in diesem Bereich schon vorliegenden Ansätze zurückgegriffen werden? Sind Währungsintegration und Währungsdesintegration nur zwei ähnliche Seiten derselben Medaille, des Wechsels der Währungsordnung? Hier liegt der theoretische Schwerpunkt der Arbeit. Der Begriff der Währungsdesintegration wird dabei eng auf das Ende von Währungsunionen und die in diesem Zusammenhang auftretenden Probleme beschränktl , es geht also nicht um andere Formen der Desintegration im monetären Bereich, wie etwa den Zerfall von WechselkursverbÜllden oder die Auflösung von Finanzbeziehungen.
